Description
You looking at a very original 1948 EL Panhead, first year of the pan and only factory Pan head with a springer front end. The motor was freshened up many years ago and it was repainted factory red. It has the oem tank, fenders as well as the frame and springer front end. It was owned by a retired Harley dealer for the past 35 years. The motor case numbers 148-1008 are a matched set, we have verified it. It was decommissioned in 1990, fuel was drained and parked in a climate controlled building. It was sprayed down with marvel mystery oil to preserve the chrome. We have since detailed it and removed the storage oil film.
