Custom built off the grid camper by Phoenix custom campers. Built on a 2010 freightliner P2xl Sport chassis 2 wheel drive truck with 41k miles. Powered by a Cummins 8.3 liter coupled to a Allison 6 speed auto. Chassis has a fully adjustable air ride 4 wheel suspension with custom valved King shocks.
up front is a 18k electric custom bumper winch with storage, truck rides on super single tires replaced in 2022.
Camper is built out of composite fiber glass panels with carbon fiber corners ,all aluminum framed construction with 3 inch triple core foam insulation, and double paned windows.
Camper has 2 slides and a 20" pop up hard sided loft bedroom with a queen size mattress.
Interior has all aluminum power coated cabinets, power auto blinds, Flexsteel ultra leather couch, 2 inside refrigerators, one outside ice chest, microwave convection oven,2 burner stove, filtered drinking water faucet, propane furnace heat, instant on propane hot water heater, led lighting, shower , toilet with macerator,focal stereo, 40" Samsung led hd tv with surround sound with electric lift .
Wine guard traveler tracking direct tv sat system, electric sky light roof hatch with day night shade, dual solar controllers, flexable solar roof, walkable roof deck with rain catch, ac, propane Onan 2400 watt generator, 30 gals of propane, 85 gals fresh water, truck interior is leather with Alcatara vented center front seats with cooling fans, focal big sound system, gps, TPS, 5 cameras, front seats are air ride, cab on air ride,, electric steps, 100 gal diesel, outside ridged led floods, care free electric awnings with led lites, new lithium batteries. I have taken it on several offroad jeep and dirt bike trips, it goes down the road real nice with the air ride suspension and air ride seats. You can tow pretty much anything within reason. It has good ground clearance for drive down dirt roads to find a more remote camp spot. When you stop at Bucees to get fuel you are an instant celebrity. I have included a video when the truck was built and on display at an overlander show. Since the video was done the outside black boxes were added along with an outside sound system and locking slide out ice chest. The chassis, cab interior and paint condition are all excellent.
The bad or needing attention:
The paint on the rear conversion portion has some cracks in the paint. The RV portion has a power up roof that is very sturdy, a large bed up top, with a folding ladder to get down. The bathroom is a combo bathroom and shower, my wife hates it but after a long day you can take a shower. The hot water is from an instahot system, you do waste some water waiting for the hot water to reach the shower head, there may be an upgrade. When traveling you can use the bathroom unless you slide out the slide partially and un hook the trailer so the steps will come out. the popane heater will cook you so keep it on low, it heats up very fast. The bathroom floor stays wet from the shower so if you use the bathroom at night your socks get wet. The power awning on the
above the right slide stopped working, you need it when it rains as it directs the water away from the slide. the drivers side has a leaf guard that serves the same purpose, I was planning to add a leaf guard on the passenger side but haven't had the time. I do a PM service once a year and I have it scheduled for Feb 6th. On the passenger slide the interior trim is coming loose and needs to be screwed and glued. Its a really fun rig but like any rolling house you need to be a handy man to keep up with the RV portion.
