This beautiful car is a 1933 Ford 3 window coupe. As you can see in the pictures and the video, this car is amazing!
We have a lot of cool cars and trucks pass through our store and we are lucky to be their caretakers for a short time. This 33 three window is one of the finest cars we have ever seen.
The car was built in 2006 and repainted the same color in 2011. The builder didn't like the quality of the first paint job, so they stripped off the paint and repainted it and made it perfect! We talked to the actual builder and he told us when he was building it, he took all of the original wood out of the doors and the body. He was able to install a hidden roll bar. He attached the suicide doors to the roll bar and they have worked perfectly ever since.
The build, fit and finish is very high quality, just about every surface has been painted, powder coated or chromed.
This car has been to good guys a couple of times and has won awards. The car was driven there, not trailer-ed. It has 19,780 miles on it since it was built, so it is well sorted and can be driven anywhere you want to go! I'm not sure what the specific awards were, but I'll try to find out and post them here. The power plant is a Chevy small-block bored .60 over. So it's a 361 CI. It has a steel crank, TRW forged pistons, 6" upgraded rods, Brodix IK 200 (iron killer heads) with 2.02 and 1.60 valves with bronze guides. Mated to a Richmond 5 speed manual transmission, a McLeod clutch and a hydraulic throw out bearing, with 5th gear being 1:1. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears are lower so that you can accelerate hard out of the hole. The Ford 9 inch rear end has 3:00 gears and 31 spline Mark Williams axles, so you can cruise comfortably on the high-way. It starts, runs and drives perfectly.
The paint is upper show quality, even if you're not a fan of orange, you'll probably love this paint! The official color is Tangelo Orange from the house of Colors.
This Hot Rod has 4 wheel disc brakes, a battery cut off switch, cold blowing A/C, electric windows, Foose wheels, a detailed undercarriage and is all steel!
